We were very grateful for the time these players took out from their schedules to assist with promoting our club at this local primary school. The kids seemed to have a great time and so did the players! 🙂
Absolutely love this article. Myths are there to be busted! Rugby League is safe for children of all ages given the right coaching and training, something we focus on heavily at Little Leaguies. Children need to learn to fall safely and tackle safely whilst they are young to prepare their bodies for future years. Practice is just that, it's trial and error alongside a scope of learning. Children should be nurtured with repetition and demonstration to ensure their own safety and the safety of others. I know I speak on behalf of all coaches when I say your child's safety is our paramount concern so rest assured we will be doing our best to make Rugby League accessible and fun for all children regardless of size, strength or experience. All it takes is a willingness to learn, and a trust in your coach!
Touch footy or oztag if you dont want your child to be tackled
They hardly tackle.at that age anyway
All safe play at that age kids get hurt more in the playground
Nanny state gone stupid
So we slow their skills for another year
Tell the NRL to keep their noses out of local rugby league club business. We know what is best for kids in our areas and at least we are down at the field coaching the kids. Not sitting behind a desk with a computer making decisions about our great game that does'nt effect them. Worry about what is happening in their back yard before telling us 'volunteers' what to do.....just saying thats all. The game in the lower grades is fine, leave it alone.
Can Greg Florimo also Passionately yell out The Bears to The NRL Bosses ? It’s been 20 seasons 19 years since we were Criminally kicked out of The NRL and all we are doing is talking about Representing anther NRL’s Reserve Grade for another season. Time for a more Aggressive Approach like South Sydney’s and George Piggins Approach!
